Our scaremongering media are in overdrive determined to scare the shit out of us :whatever:

Fortunately I dont know anyone that's in a state of panic :hmmm:

'We' have a family get to together later today aka a funeral , t'will be interesting to see how we greet each other which may very from generation to generation :biker:

Sadly its only a matter of time before the UK register its 1st death' from the virus & I'm pleased the daily updates have stopped :agree1:

Figures certain to rise & I'm assuming when people recover from the virus they'll be removed from the figures cos they certainly should imho :oldgit:

If in a queue just cough or sneeze and you’ll be at the top of the queue in seconds.

Panic buying in shops.

If I was a kid I’d be delighted. Looks like at least 5 weeks off

For once, I really should do what I'm told for the sake of others :beglee:

The fact that this County has just 2 confirmed cases out of over 1/2 a million'ish & cant buy a bog roll cos some selfish coonts are stockpiling :whatever: doesn't inspire me :biker:

All indoor gatherings of more than 100 people and outdoor events involving more than 500 should be cancelled, the Irish Government said., doesn't apply to horse racing though it seems :hmmm:

I'm not saying it should, it just makes a nonsense of the statement :Isay: Especially when you take into account it would be a breeding ground for spreading the virus, anyone whose been in a betting ring knows there's a lot of finger licking by both bookmakers & punters when counting/ separating bank notes :spliff:

I suspect stable staff etc wont be encouraged to declare themselves unwell :hmmm:

CORRECTION

Racing is set to carry on without spectators, bookmakers or Tote staff in Ireland until March 29.

Boris will give a daily briefing now. About time he has. Every country should be getting a daily briefing everyday on what’s going on.

Up to 5 cases in the county now, details here down the page for all areas. :beglee:

Tried to order on line intending to stay in as much as possible but both Morrisons & Iceland have so much unavailable t'was a waste of time  So daily'ish visits to the local CoOp are likely but later in the day to avoid tooo many people :spliff:

Even at this early stage I encountered someone suffering with anxiety who said 'I'd rather catch it now, get it over with' Clearly my response was 'not bovered' in so many words didn't help :biker:

Sky Sports
Whilst we expect that many of the recently postponed sports events will go ahead, if you wish to pause your Sky Sports subscription in the meantime you will not be charged a fee to do so or be held to any notice period. Meanwhile we continue to provide high quality content across all of our 11 Sky Sports channels.

We are sorry that you are currently unable to pause your Sky Sports subscription online, however, in light of the circumstances we are working hard to introduce this in the coming days. Please check back online from Friday. In the meantime, please be aware that we have reduced resource in our call centre and we apologise if you are unable to get through to us on the phone.

This why many of us will find it impossible to stay at home for 3 months or so :WTF:

I had another look at Morrisons on line, the good news, more stock was available, the bad news, no delivery slots available :dunno:

I'll try to keep my shop visits to a minimum but not going out for 3 months simply isn't an option. My local Co Op took more money yesterday than at Xmas, row after row of empty shelves.

I wonder if Boris thinks he's King Canute :hmmm:

How can you seriously depend on everyone doing the right 'thing' when there's so much evidence that there are so many selfish fookers :dunno:

In 5 days the cases in the county have gone from just 1 to 10, true its still a small number but in % terms its a bleak outlook :WTF:

Its only being so cheerful that keeps me going :biker:

Shopping is brutal (Got Tesco coming on Thursday but loads of stuff will be missing)
Went to local Morrisons Friday and there were around 25 standing outside before opening..Coonts :whatever:
So popped along to local Tesco Express but like everywhere else plenty of gaps :OFFS:

It'll be tens of thousands by the end of the year with the unbelievable stupidity of some of the population.

Many people treating a deadly virus (and the poor sods working in the NHS) with utter contempt.

Hills close all of their betting shops:

Dear Tony,

In line with the latest Government guidelines we‘ve temporarily closed all of our betting shops with immediate effect. We’re proud of our William Hill retail community and keeping our staff and our customers safe is our priority. We’re tracking the situation daily and we’ll let you know when we’re able to re-open

I suspect the 4 figures will be reached in a week or 2

I'm in the unusual position of agreeing with comrade Tim on his f'cast.

i'm not going looking for the link but one leaked report had 20,000 deaths of being a 'good outcome' with a distinct possibility of the death numbers could be at least 10 times that amount.

I'm assuming the optimistic figure was based on the entire population following 'expert' advice But sadly we already know many aren't :oldgit:

Lets hope the rest follow Morrisons :clap2: :

Many NHS workers have said that they are struggling to buy the products they need at the beginning or the end of their shift, as supermarkets have seen unprecedented demand.

So we’re responding by introducing an NHS hour at all our stores at the beginning of every day, Monday to Saturday, so NHS workers can shop for groceries for themselves and their families.

This will be from 7am to 8am and a Morrisons colleague will be on the door to let staff with an NHS badge in.

Our new opening hours for all our other customers are 8am to 8pm, Monday to Saturday. On Sundays we’ll be open as usual.

We promise to play our part in feeding the nation - it's more than our job.

Good idea if there is enough stock to go around.

So that means queues will be going down the road for the rest.

Hold on..What happened to the over 70's coming early ? (or is that just Iceland and Sainsburys) :hmmm:

I think the issue is that if you are young or healthy then you shouldn't be to bad so people are saying fk it I'll take my chances.

Police have closed down some places today as people were heading to the same spots for some fresh air.

I was out yesterday near the house along a river and woman moved a few yards into the grass to avoid me. It is a footpath about a yard wide so what is the point going there if you aren't going to walk past people without going miles into the grass.

They’ll need to come up with rules and punishment for people who break the lockdown. I think France allows people to exercise within 2km of home.

Boris needs to fire the people behind his initial plan of herd immunity. It has had to cost some people lives
