All the shock & surprise at Bercows decision is confusing :hmmm:

Last Thursday on QT Ian Blackford basically said what Bercow said today, drag forward to 20 minutes'ish of the programme:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=irBpeMiUJnY

Apparently a request is being sent to the EU to delay the leaving date & parliament has made the decision we cant leave without a deal so if they decline, as I've suspected for a while, will mean revoking Article 50. :dunno:

PM due to make a statement.

I sense the media have got things wrong.

I suspect May will say if her deal isn't passed, she'll resign.

Her words were clear, she cant be the PM who asked for a longer delay.

I've reached my tipping point on this subject :Bitter:

I dont know how it will end but I suspect one way or another we'll end up staying in the EU. :hmmm:

I suspect both main party's will be punished by the electorate in different ways.

Voter apathy for some, staying at home.

Supporting a UKIP 'type party or more worryingly, a more overtly extreme right wing racist party & some civil disobedience inspired by the latter.

For the record if GE came along I'd stay at home cos both Tory's & Labour are a shower of shit :Hi-Guy:

The likelihood that our only negotiating tool of walking away will be taken away today :Bitter:

It wouldn't surprise me if the tactic is:

Ask for an extension beyond March 29th, the EU declining & as its likely that parliament will vote against no deal, the only alternative will be to revoke Article 50 & staying in the EU.

Opinion polls are suggesting that politicians are misjudging public opinion, 44% now favouring a no deal :Isay:

All the scare mongering doom & gloom forecast haven't worked for them or me come to that but I still want us to leave with a deal. :spliff:

Soon to be enshrined in law that we cant leave without a deal makes my prediction of revoking article 50 odds on imho :hmmm:

On the point of a 2nd referendum, its pointless now cos if its law that we cant leave without a deal so a 'leave' option cant be on the ballot paper & that's fact not an opinion. :Isay: Unless parliament reverses the decision obviously but it aint going to happen.

I'm inclined to agree there will be a degree of civil unrest, some genuinely angry, others who wont pass up the opportunity to carry out racist attacks.

Realistically there wont be any Tory/Labour deal, both party's are already on the verge of splitting, any deal would blow both apart & frankly, they deserve to be in pieces. :Hi-Guy:

Next election, fook knows :dunno:

Some voters wont bother which I'll be one unless a box stating None Of the above is on the ballot paper.

Sadly UKIP will scoop up the ones with racist undertones & obviously the more overt views along with those just use it as a protest vote. I'll leave tarring everyone with same brush to the morons :spliff:

A deal with Labour could be done with possible huge ramifications for both sides.

Agree to a Customs Union & close alignment with the single market which is almost certainly going to mean freedom of movement continuing.

Little doubt the Tory's party would fracture which is what they deserve, harsh on most imho but they need to see the back of the ideological pricks who put that before country.

We could have left on time with a deal, not a perfect deal but it had everything to protect jobs etc. they just had to compromise. :oldgit:

Fairly safe bet that if EU elections take place Farage's Brexit party will very nearly sweep away the 2 main party's in many areas

Farage claims the political system is broken but all small party's have been saying that for decades making a case for PR etc.

I hope I never see PR here, primarily cos I dont want racist given legitimacy sitting in parliament & coalitions botched together by bastardising any pledges/promises just to get a seat at the table :Hi-Guy:

The only reason why the claim that the political system is broken has weight is the lack of honesty, poor leadership & a piss poor standard of some MP's. :beglee:

None of them deserve or will get my vote.

Struggling with the logic for thinking people will vote for the Brexit Party cos their angry with the way Brexit been handled but will support them in council elections. :dunno:

Would of thought it logical that if yer angry with a party, in this case the Tory's, yer not going to vote for them in any shape or form. :Isay:

I certainly wont be voting for the Brexit Party or anyone else tbh.

Hard one to call :hmmm:

Its a classic marginal seat. :biker: T'was a strong leave area 2016 so Change UK probably wont bother with a candidate, Brexit party would fancy their chances of picking up both Tory & Labour votes, enough to win possibly :dunno:

Tory's were a fairly close 2nd last time but I'd be shocked if they even came close to winning this time :beglee:

An old friend is standing for Labour in the council elections, I promised her if I bothered to vote at all it would be for her. :mancdave:

Corbyn really shouldn't enter into local issues but.......................................... :Hi-Guy:

No doubt, she's been a disaster but the benefits of her going aren't obvious to me :dunno:

Personally I think their playing into the hands of remainers, parliament have/are legislating on not leaving without a deal & sooner or later the only option will be to revoke Article 50 which I've suspected will be the outcome for some time :Isay:

By nature I'm against the government bailing out failed company's to carry on making 'stuff' they cant sale. However, as this government is largely to blame for their financial predicament due to us still being in the EU they should imho do everything they can to help.

Another however, this explains why they probably cant :Isay:

It is funny that the European elections are on in the UK for parliament they don't want to be in and would be out if they hit the deadlines and people who want out of Europe are standing for election. Other countries having an election based on seats that the UK won't be taking them up. So we will elect a MEP who can't take their seat.

Farage hasn’t taken his seat for the last twenty years so nothing’s changed really.

He’ll take the pension though...

...and his fair share of expenses.

I take issue with this..... Downright slander and misrepresentation of a man who has put us right in the gaze of the rest of the world....

There is no chance he wants his FAIR share of expenses...... He will try to hoover up as much as a possibly can for doing as little as he possibly can.
