It shows how hard it is when Palacios has been selected by 5.1% of players at this early stage :oldgit: :TBM:

I've at least 2 cheap midfielders from Chile, Mexico etc. in my 5 FREE teams :oldgit:

I'm on holiday from all things fantasy for a couple weeks.

I presume I can enter teams into the league right up to the first kick off?

1 in 19 to go.... Are we setting up more mini leagues as well as you can enter 3...

You can enter facebook, elite leagues after the 1 week so you can pick your best team. :biker:

Though might jus go for the daily £100 with the Brazil 1st game, as 40 transfers is way to many.

Have you currently got a third of these Binky :surrender:

Debating whether to buy a batch. I know it only takes one team to win but you pretty much have to make every call right.

Anyone worked out a formula for their transfer useage yet?
40 Transfers - 64 games.

Not much scope for transferring from one block to another(????)...so certainly favours having several team blocks covered from the start. Also many teams with huge attacking threats, but limited transfers to double up. Invariably, pick Messia and Higuain scores 5, pick Higuain and Aguero scores 6, pick Aguero and.....you get the picture.

Would suggest that like the Champion league games...most goals will come early doors while the shit teams are still in. With 48 group games and 16 knockout games - would having 16 transfers left after the group stage be too few or about right?

That would mean 24 for the group stages, equating to slightly more than one transfer every other game (given your initial starting line up), for possible striker rotation.

Given not having enough transfers to cover every game then, It might be that people will just avoid certain teams/games altogether...and if there are a few surprise packages amongst these, then their are opportunities for differentials. :timmsy:

or shall I just wing it and do shit :blind:

binky wrote:ive got 25 teams and 18 of them will be starting with a brazil block and then all go in a different direction

for me its not about transfer usage and what amount should be left for the knockouts as there are no set in stone rules

ive come 4th twice in the sun euros and was 2nd in tffe a coupla years ago before the final when muller fooked me over the nazi nonce and ive always set out with different strategies
but
the main thing i have always done is tried to predict who will go through to the knockouts and who will play who in the group stages and hope to get it as close as possible cus if you do then you have hafe a chance
then
i try and pick off the easy games for the obvious strikers but also use a lot of my transfers for the last games of the group games as you know what teams are in form and players ofcourse n also gives you an insight to how the knockouts will set up so teams can be set up for the final charge

going back to transfer usage i will have between 8-20 left throughout different teams going into the knockout stages

brazil renowned for their defensive prowess :hmmm: :titter:
